The exciting world of letters
Welcome to the typographer's workshop! A place where he shows us his lead typefaces, typesetting boxes, and printing presses, and gives us a look behind the scenes of printing. Typography is a centuries-old technique and important for texts of all kinds. But it is also an art, as it should not only convey words, but also shape them. In this book, you will learn all about letterpress printing and the art of typesetting—you will be amazed at how often you encounter it in everyday life!
With outstanding illustrations, Gaby Bazin conveys unusual knowledge in a child-friendly way and continues her successful children's non-fiction series on art practices and crafts after The Lithographer.
Gaby Bazin (*1992) lives in Pantin near Paris. She grew up on the French Mediterranean coast and discovered her love of books and their production while studying at the School of Decorative Arts in Paris.
