An original, finely illustrated herbarium that brings together a rich selection of plant-themed works by designers, illustrators, planners and artists. Masterpieces created with the most varied techniques, ranging from painting to drawing, lithography, photography and collage, with a commentary by Domitilla Dardi, a professor of design and museum curator at MAXXI in Rome. After an essential section on ancient herbaria, there is a series of artistic, fantastic, graphic and multimedia herbaria, from the 12th century to the present day, intended for a cross-section of art, science, design and fashion enthusiasts.

DOMITILLA DARDI (*1970) is a historian and independent curator of design, since 2007 she has collaborated with the MAXXI museum in Rome for which she was curator for design from 2010 to 2023, curating more than twenty exhibitions. Since 2019 she has been co-founder and curator of the design fair EDIT Napoli. Since 2007 she has been a lecturer in three-year and Master's courses at the IED in Rome; she taught from 2003 to 2007 at the Faculty of Architecture in Ascoli Piceno and has been a visiting professor at various institutions, including the Universidad de Navarra in Pamplona, the Accademia Abadir in Catania and the MADE Program in Syracuse.
