Albert Renger-Patzsch´s late photographic work comprise besides commissioned works landscape and architectural photos. This volume shows 100 photos of the post-war age- landscapes, trees and rock formations and underlines Renger-Patzsch´s importance as a co-founder of modern photography.
Like Karl Blossfeldt and August Sander, the German photographer Albert Renger-Patzsch (1897-1966) radicalized the photographic medium by turning away from pictorialism to a new emphasis on objectivity. Best known for his industrial images, he produced three remarkable series on the themes "Trees", "Landscapes", and "Stones".
