artintact is the combination of CD-ROM and brochure which the Zentrum für Kunst und Medientechnologie in Karlsruhe uses as a forum to present the work of the artists it supports. The CD-ROM permits the user to mix the contents in individual and interactive combinations. The magazine is to be dedicated twice a year to as many as three different artists. This first issue presents Bill Seaman, Eric Lanz and Jean-Louis Bossier. The observer can choose between the options offered by the artist, thereby influencing the artist's material on the basis of his or her own subjectivity, defining art, artists and observers anew. The CD-ROM is complemented by a critical close reading of the work.
