Mischa Kuball (*1959 in Düsseldorf) is one of the few German artists who has continued to develop this uniquely independent work over a period of twenty years, regardless of the trends on the art market, and this monograph is the first to provide a comprehensive view of his oeuvre. Arranged according to key themes such as architectural interventions, light installations, videos, or audience-oriented performances, the result is a kaleidoscope of his multi-faceted work, at whose center the medium of light is a constant. Prominent authors such as Peter Sloterdijk, Walter Grasskamp, or Boris Groys describe and discuss the various structures in Kuball’s work. Exhibition schedule: ZKM, Karlsruhe, opening in March 2007 · further venues in Hanover, Duisburg, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegowina, China, Japan, Switzerland, FrancePETER WEIBEL (* 1944, Odessa) is an internationally known media and conceptual artist, curator, and art and media theoretician. Since the 1960s his work has firmly regarded artistic creativity as an open-ended field of activity. He was head of the ZKM, Karlsruhe until 2020. Since 2017 he has been director of the Peter Weibel Research Institute for Digital Culture at the Universität für angewandte Kunst in Vienna.
