During a work-related stay in Los Angeles in 2003, Veronika Kellendorfer (* 1962 in Munich) visited the icons of International Style: buildings by Eames, Schindler, Wright, and Neutra. The many ways architecture and exterior interpenetrate and overlap each other inspired her to create a complex of works entitled exterior and interior dreams-blueprints for modern living. To this end Kellndorfer had her own architectural photographs, such as that of a window surface, silk-screened in original size on glass. In another section, she overlapped handmade models of houses and two-dimensional projections in a similar way, thus reversing the coding between the design and the real building. This is the starting point for the model of layered spaces presented in this artist's book, the design of which was inspired by circuit diagrams and is supported by the central themes of dreams and space. Exhibition schedule: Berlinische Galerie, Landesmuseum für Moderne Kunst, Photographie und Architektur, September 17-November 6, 2005
